I have dreaded this day all week long. Jonah's 3rd birthday. I am just not ready for my youngest to not be a baby anymore. I just might cry as I write this thinking back at his short three years of life and all the memories and laughs he has brought to our family.
Even in all his sicknesses and troubles, he has to be one of the happiest children I know. Today, I celebrate my baby boy on his third birthday. As him and I tell each other every day and night. "I love you to the moon and back, Jonah!" Stop growing!
Meeting the photographer and her family
My husband and I have been together now for almost 12 years! We met in college and have gone through the ups and downs that every relationship has gone through. Possibly even more... We are complete opposites and at times can be very trying in our relationship but yet we find a way to push forward. We are each others balance, motivator and supporter. I am huge Friends fan and if you are too then you know what I mean when I say he is my "lobster." Haha!
Together we have 3 boys. Their ages are 9, 5, and 3! They never stop and neither do their sports events Being a "boy" mom is exhausting and there is never a dull moment! Even in all the chaos, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Watching them grow into the boys they are has been an amazing journey. One that has led me to pursue my passion of photography. They are my reason for chasing dreams and I hope one day they will be able look back when they are chasing their dreams and say, " I can do it because my mom did."
Family is everything. We work so hard to provide and take care of the ones we love that sometimes we miss the moments we were meant to slow down and see. My kids are tired of taking pictures because a camera has been in their face their whole lives but I never wanted to miss a moment. My dream as a photographer is that I don't miss those moments. Capturing a smile, a milestone, just one precious moment can last forever in a photo and in our hearts.
